CALIBRATE RUNNER

digital simulations
parametric modeling
prototyping

Calibrate Runner was a project developed between Puma and MIT Design Lab, in which Jesus Marini Parissi founder of Moon Rabbit was part.

While at MIT Jesus Marini developed a novel approach for footwear Virtual Testing using advanced Finite Element Techniques.

This workflow helped PUMA to recognize critical areas before making a physical sample, this method besides helping to reduce the number of physical prototyping can be also used to select the correct material to achieve the best performance.

Computational simulation along with parametric design tools is a path to enhance design workflows, reduce the number of physical sample and rapidly iterate between designs.
