parametric modeling

Alice’s tea set is a Moon Rabbit computational design example using one of the most common objects from our daily lives, such as a tea set.

In this example we discretize the parts of a teacup to apply different rules, parameters and algorithms to manipulate the shape, giving the possibility to achieve thousands of different combinations.

We developed an advanced texturing algorithm that creates the outer surface texture based on graph control parameters. These techniques can be applied to different products, surfaces, and applications.

Finally, we 3D printed some examples using FDM and resing 3D printing.

The Teapot was developed using Blender with the geometry nodes method by Mathias Kilcher.
